Siesta AI
Our CEO, Mikoláš Belec, represented Siesta AI at AAIC 2026, the Applied Artificial Intelligence Conference, on 24 September in Vienna. The conference was part of a two-day business mission organized by CzechTrade Austria, bringing together 13 Czech technology companies. The programme combined industrial AI examples, business introductions and international networking.
AAIC 2026 and Austria’s AI ecosystem
The mission began at Vienna’s AI Factory, with sessions on trustworthy AI, software infrastructure and practical industrial applications demonstrated through KI Mobil. Speed-networking with delegations from Italy and Hong Kong added perspectives from beyond Austria. At the Czech Embassy, the delegation heard from WKÖ, EIT Manufacturing and the Austrian Business Agency, alongside Internorm and Doppelmayr, which shared experience of AI in manufacturing and digital product development. The following day, www.aaic.forum combined expert presentations, workshops, an exhibition and B2B matchmaking. Together, these activities connected technical insight with opportunities to understand potential customers and partners.
What the mission brought to Siesta AI
The mission gave us a clearer view of Austria’s AI ecosystem and a starting point for future business conversations. The industrial presentations provided context for considering where our enterprise AI platform could support knowledge-heavy processes, such as document review and management reporting. A useful AI demonstration is only the beginning: businesses also need evidence, data protection and a clear implementation path. That is relevant to our approach of connecting company knowledge with governed workflows, where outputs can be reviewed before further action.
International networking opened opportunities to explore cooperation beyond Austria, while CzechTrade’s market guidance emphasized references, German-language materials and consistent follow-up. These introductions offer a basis for discussing specific use cases, technical requirements and whether a pilot would make sense.
