The Siesta AI Mac app lets you capture that context while it is still fresh. Record the screen, save an audio note, or dictate a quick Wisp without writing everything from memory. The result is fewer steps between noticing something important and preserving it for colleagues.
Record your screen with the context included
Screen recording is useful for product walkthroughs, bug reports, internal training, and asynchronous handoffs. Choose the display you want to record and include your microphone, system audio, or both.
A short recording can show the exact sequence behind an issue more clearly than a long written explanation. Uploaded recordings appear in Siesta AI with their duration and transcription status. When a transcript is available, colleagues can review the content without replaying the entire recording.
Showing what happened often gives the next person a clearer starting point than describing it afterward.
Capture audio notes before details disappear
Not every update needs a screen recording. The built-in audio recorder lets you capture a voice note, pause and resume when needed, name it, and upload it to Siesta AI.
Audio notes are useful after customer calls, internal discussions, or site visits. A short spoken update can preserve the decision, context, and next step while the details are still clear. Teams spend less time reconstructing conversations from scattered messages and more time acting on accurate information.
Create quick notes with Wisps
Wisps are short notes stored locally on your Mac. You can type them or capture them by voice, then copy useful entries or remove notes you no longer need. Toggle and Push to Talk modes let you choose how voice capture works.
Users can choose between on-device Apple Speech, which can work offline, and the transcription service configured by their organization. This provides a practical choice between local dictation and the company’s preferred transcription setup.

The app supports multiple languages, configurable shortcuts, preferred audio devices, and light, dark, or system themes. Clear permission settings also show when microphone, speech recognition, screen recording, or accessibility access is required.
