Siesta AI is now available as a Windows desktop app in the Microsoft Store. With the Windows app, you can record your screen, capture audio notes, and dictate text to your clipboard. This solves a practical problem teams run into fast: important context happens inside tickets, spreadsheets, calls, and internal tools, and by the time someone opens the browser and tries to write it up, the details are already diluted.
The Windows app keeps Siesta AI close to where work happens. It helps teams capture a recording or note while the context is still on screen, then share it without rebuilding what happened later. For managed Windows environments, the Microsoft Store release can also make rollout and support more predictable through standard software distribution, instead of relying on everyone’s browser setup. Handoffs break when context is captured too late. A desktop app reduces the friction of switching tools, so teams can capture what happened immediately and share it while details are still accurate.A non-obvious upside is consistency: teams that standardize on “record first, explain second” spend less time arguing about what happened, and more time fixing it. A short, shareable artifact often beats a long chat recap.

Screen capture for handoffs
You can record your screen with optional microphone and system audio, choose the monitor you want to capture, and start recording quickly. Recordings upload in chunks while capture is running, so there is less waiting after you stop. Once a recording is finalized, you can open it, create and copy a share link, revoke an existing link, or start another capture. For moments when the screen isn’t needed, the app supports microphone-only recording. You choose a microphone, then start, pause, resume, and stop. Before upload, you can rename the recording, and the app shows upload status with the option to retry if something fails. Example: after a customer call, a support lead records a 45-second note with the decision, next step, and owner, names it clearly, and uploads it right away. Why it matters: teams capture decisions while they’re still clear, instead of trying to reconstruct them later from chat threads.
Audio notes for quick decisions and follow-ups
For moments when the screen is not needed, the app supports microphone-only recording. You can choose a microphone, then start, pause, resume, and stop the recording. Before uploading, you can rename it. The app also displays the upload status and lets you retry if the upload fails. For example, after a customer call, a support lead can record a 45-second note covering the decision, next step, and owner, name it clearly, and upload it immediately. This helps teams capture decisions while they are still clear instead of reconstructing them later from chat threads.
Wisps dictation to clipboard
Wisps lets you dictate short text directly from the app. When transcription finishes, the text is copied to your clipboard, ready to paste into the tool you are already using, such as a ticket, CRM note, email, or internal chat. Wisps history is stored locally, so you can reuse snippets, delete individual items, or clear the history. For example, an operations manager can dictate a structured ticket update while looking at a dashboard, then paste it into the ticket system without switching to a separate writing tool. Clipboard output works across different applications without requiring plugins or deep integrations.
Permissions and current limitations
Windows may ask for microphone access or show a screen capture prompt the first time you use these workflows. For team rollout, apply the same rules you use for other recording tools: grant access based on role, follow internal policies for screen and audio capture, and use revocable links when recordings should not stay available indefinitely. Global shortcuts must be registered successfully, local agents need access to the configured working directory, and if you use Antigravity, set the API key only in app settings, not in prompts.
A few features are not available from the Windows navigation yet: Quick Actions are coming soon, and Chat and Stream are not available there yet.
